Edward Antwi is a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Kumasi Polytechnic. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Thermofluids and Energy Systems option). projectsMizpah Asase (Miss) is a Ph.D student of the Chemical Engineering Department, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She obtained a BSc. (Hons) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2003. She enrolled as an MPhil/PhD candidate after undergoing her national service in 2004. She has been working in the area of solid waste management for close to 6 years and has experience from undertaking various waste characterization and separation at source projects in Kumasi. She has been a member of the International Solid Waste Association since 2006 till date. Her research interests are in the areas of Development of Local Capacity for separate collection, handling and treatment of solid wastes, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Polymer Technology and recycling and environmental sustainability. |

(Chemical Engineering) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. He is currently a lecturer at the Chemical Engineering Department of Kumasi Polytechnic, Ghana. His research interests are Thermodynamics, bioenergy, biosanitation, integrated solid/liquid waste management, CDM, competency-based training (CBT) curriculum development. - Solar thermal projectsRichard Arthur holds an MSc. (Mechanical Engineering – Thermofluids and Energy Systems) and a BSc. (Chemical Engineering) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Energy Systems Engineering, Koforidua Polytechnic, Ghana. His research interests are in the areas of biogas technology, energy conversion and management, CDM proposal development, climate change and sustainable development. He is a founding member of CEESD also a research fellow of The Energy Centre, KNUST. He has been involved in the supervision and construction of a number of biogas plants in the country. Project
assistantRachel Opoku Agyemang holds a Bachelor of Art in Integrated Development Studies with specialization in Economic and Entrepreneurship Studies from the University for Development Studies. She has participated in a number of projects including impact studies of insecticide treated net on malaria prevention, community profiling, and problems and potential identification. Her research interests bothers on the role of microcredit in poverty reduction, gender-sensitive energy delivery, and solid waste disposal and management.
