Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Dr. Joseph X. F. Ribeiro holds a Ph.D. (Oil and Gas: Transportation and Storage Engineering) from the Yangtze University (China). He also holds an MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. He is also certified in the design, installation and maintenance of stand-alone solar energy systems. He is a lecturer and researcher at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) and also the head of Energy Efficiency at the Centre for Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency (CREK). His research interests include applications of Solar Energy, Energy Efficiency in the areas of biomass to energy conversion and utilization. He has approximately eight years of experience in renewable energy technologies, CDM project development for industrial scale plants, policy reviews, as well as sustainability and feasibility studies. He has also been engaged in several studies/consultancies for organizations including UNDP, Ghana Energy Commission, SNV Ghana, Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, and ECREEE involving travels to other African countries for data collection. He is a member of CEESD.
